Welcome to St Francis Basketball Club

2026/27 summer season

Registrations for the 2026/27 summer season have now closed.

The season starts first week of term 4 2026 (week commencing 5 October) and runs until the end of term 1 2027, with a break for the summer holidays.

Once teams are finalised, each team will get a unique link via email before the end of term 3 for you to complete the second part of your child's registration via PlayHQ. Additional annual fees are payable when you register with PlayHQ - $32.00 Basketball Victoria insurance fee and $5.50 Basketball Victoria development levy (both paid annually, not each season).

You'll receive an email confirming your child's team, coach, team manager and training time slot in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions, please contact your age group coordinator. Details are on the contact tab.

2026 winter season

The 2026 winter season finishes on Friday 18 September.

Players not returning for the 2026/27 Summer season need to return their tops within 2 weeks of end of season please. A $75 fee will be charged for late returns. Please contact the uniform coordinators to arrange for tops to be returned.

Team placement

Team placements are based on a number of factors, including the number of registrations received within each age group, player development, and team balance.

St Francis Basketball follows a grading process for players and teams from U12 and above. Our aim is to place each player in a team and grade that provides the right environment for them to continue developing their skills, build confidence, and enjoy their basketball journey.

Training

We are fortunate to have access to the St Francis shed for training sessions. This facility is shared with other clubs and the wider community, so we appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding when it comes to training allocations.

Once teams have been finalised, our Facility & Equipment Coordinators will work with Team Managers to allocate suitable training times and confirm schedules for each team.
